鲁迅公园大门为玻璃瓦顶的石牌坊,气势轩昂。前眉刻有"鲁迅公园"四个金字,是集鲁迅先生手迹。背眉是"蓬壶胜揽"四字，为当代碑帖鉴赏家郑世芬1932年手书，"蓬"指的是蓬莱，"壶"指的是"方壶"，意为鲁迅公园的景色与海中仙山相仿佛。

坐在礁石之上，观舒卷浪花于眼前起伏迭宕，远处的海面风帆点点，鸥鸟竞翔，令人极尽畅游之乐。

鲁迅公园虽说不是一个很大的公园，但它却以独特的风格成为青岛的一个象征。在20世纪初至80年代，许多代表青岛的旅游产品上都印有鲁迅公园的海滨风光。此景点于1998年被评为“青岛市十佳旅游风景点”，2001年被评为“市民最喜爱的旅游景点”。鲁迅公园始建于1929年，由当时的农林事务所所长葛敬应设计规划，最初以当时的市长胡若愚的名字命名“若愚公园”。1931年沈鸿烈接任市长后，将若愚公园又进行了修建，建造了现海产博物馆馆址，更名为“海滨公园”。1950年，经青岛市人民代表会议决定，为了纪念伟大的革命家、思想家、文学家鲁迅先生将“海滨公园”改名为“鲁迅公园”。
